Project Exploration is pleased to announce the relaunching of our Science Digest program! In partnership with Chicago Youth Centers and through funding from the Hive Fund for Connected Learning and the Chicago Community Trust, we will be expanding on this original PE program!
Science Digest originally emerged as a monthly program to engage Project Exploration students and alumni in exploring a wide range of STEM disciplines, while working alongside STEM professionals.
Through the Hive Chicago, Project Exploration and Chicago Youth Centers worked to identify an opportunity to partner and build STEM access. Project Exploration strives to ensure every Chicago student becomes STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) literate, promotes a diversified STEM workforce in Chicago and works to mitigate the poverty that pervades Chicago’s STEM deserts.
Adrian Villareal plans on finding out what the boys are interested in learning about and helping them explore various STEM topics. I know that the students will bring a lot to the program everyday and help make me a better person in the future.
Project Exploration (PE) is dedicated to building high-quality STEM Education Programs through effective and collaborative partnerships. We are pleased to start a new partnership with the Woods Educational Enrichment Foundation (WEEF). With a similar vision WEEF aims to eliminate the barriers placed on career opportunities for minorities in the STEM fields.
